Isn't Castle like cancelled? I thought that was the show that kept getting bounced around before it was thrown to the worst timeslot in television (Friday nights).
Happy Days was fun. I got SO confused over the timeframe of when it actually existed when I was like eight and saw the music video to Weezer's Buddy Holly. Great video though but they made me think that Happy Days was a current show.

Nope. Castle's been holding strong for 6-7 seasons now on Monday nights @ 10pm. I dunno what show you're thinking of... lol

What are people's take on this debate:
South Park vs. The Simpsons vs. Family Guy vs. Other?
What do you rank them as from best to worst? Are there any other cartoons you feel need to be on that list?
Clone High will go down as the greatest one-off cartoon series I've ever seen.

Oh, I'm thinking of Fringe. lol Fringe has lasted a a long time too. I'd have to look to be accurate, but I'm pretty sure it's been on the air for close to 8 seasons, this being it's final season. It was filmed here in Vancouver. The only show I can see you thinking of that's remotely close to what you're describing, is Nathan Fillion's previous show "Firefly", which only ran for 1 season and was a really good show, but kept getting bumped around time slots and finally ended up on at 10pm Sunday and eventually died cuz they'd moved it around so much and didn't play the pilot episode as the first episode... There were allot of factors, but that's another show I'd recommend to anyone that like Star Trek, Star Wars or old spaghetti westerns. Firefly has elements of all 3 with a well put together cast and great writing.

Islanders, I totally broke out the Christmas episodes of M*A*S*H this year, and re-fell in love with the whole show.

This is tough, I take South Park and The Simpsons over Family Guy. South Park and The Simpsons is tough, I'd say that South Park is funnier, but The Simpsons is iconic.

@islanders:
No, it is Fringe. It's stayed on the air because it has like a cult following, but their viewership has steadily decreased until it was thrown to the Friday night slot, now it's cut after this season. Firefly I had no interest in watching. Then I saw the movie that was made later and had no idea that's the show it's from, so I may have to go back and check out that one season of Firefly.
@detroit: I kind of feel the same way. Anytime I'm bored or tired but want to watch something, I definitely throw on South Park. If the Simpsons older seasons were more accessible on like Netflix or something, I'd watch that too.

I love Monty Python, but even I will admit that about 30% of their flying circus stuff is completely ridiculous and not funny. It's not an "I didn't get it" aspect either. But as with any skit, it's hit or miss. Python is more hit than miss, and their films are funny and great.
Mr. Bean was cool, but I sort of enjoyed Atkinson more on um I think it's called Petticoat Junction.

And see, I'm more of a Black Adder guy when comes to Rowan Atkinson... Hugh Laurie was great in those too. But I do agree, the Monty Python films were much better than the Flying Circus. Also the films "The Adventures of Baron Munchausen" and "A Fish Called Wanda" were really good too, speaking of Python alumni.
