What was/is your most favorite tv series you've ever seen?
I was a few years late to the party for this one, but Six Feet Under hit me hard. That show was brilliantly written and acted, the storylines were great, and it has possibly the greatest ending to a series in the history of television. I say that matter of factly after I just saw a video on youtube that incorporated the ending song to the series and I was more moved by the memory of the ending than I was by the actual video content.
Now, I've just started the Sopranos, and I'll eventually get around to The Wire, but SFU was amazing.
I also really enjoyed Big Love, which surprised me. Until Dexter, Breaking Bad and Mad Men end, I won't know how they compare.
As for animation, Clone High will forever be the greatest one-season of anything I'll have ever seen. I think I've re-watched it nearly twenty times, and I'm not done enjoying it. Fingers crossed Phil Lord and Chris Miller manage to make a movie.
What about you?

I was an avid 24 watcher. Stoked for the eventual movie if it ever happens.
Also a big fan of the 90s sitcoms of course; Seinfeld, Frasier, Mad About You, etc.

I like Frasier Anyone ever watch 3rd Rock from the Sun? That was a cool sitcom too. Yay early Joseph Gordon Levitt. Also, I love John Lithgow in anything.

Lost was fantastic, Game of Thrones is ongoing, but also amazing. Don't think I could ever pick a best ever though.

I am (a bit sadly) a huge Trek fan and in particular loved The Next Generation and Deep Space Nine. But I also really loved Six Feet Under.
I think everyone should check out Due South and Northern Exposure- love these and loved watching them when I would stay at home from school. A&E in the afternoons used to be strangely thrilling.

I also just started watching a series called Episodes in which a British husband and wife team take a show that is running strong in the UK and bring it to the States to hopefully find North American success. They are basically punished at every turn by the company to change their script, hire Matt Leblanc (who they hate) and essentially ruin their lives. It's a comedy, but it reminds me a bit of Entourage and is a fun chill show to watch.

Entourage was really good until the last few seasons. The final season was decent, but I felt it sort of fell off in the middle for a bit. That said, I'm really curious to see how they finish it out with the movie.

IT crowd is where it's at. Truly funny brit humour, and there's enough of them you're not like "what do you mean they only made 12 episodes?! How is that 2 seasons? you crazy brits~!"

I've never understood how six episodes is considered a season over there.

I've never understood how six episodes is considered a season over there. Yeah, it's a totally different system of story telling for television. they are all mini-series- not really 'sesons'. Makes you afraid to fall in love though.

Well, I think it's obvious one of the ones I'm watching right now... lol 2 Broke Girls is awesome. I'm also really big on Castle, The Big Bang Theory, The Mentalist & Criminal Minds. As for old series', and this will probably date me a little... but I used to really love Happy Days, Cheers, Laverne & Shirley (probably why I like 2 Broke Girls so much), Married with Children, The A-Team, Dukes of Hazzard, *M*A*S*H* & Beauty and the Beast; the original series starring Linda Hamilton & Ron Perlman.
